Recreational activities curtailed and some sites remain closed along Klamath River. No major problems.

Large snags and heavy down concentrations; 5(Ceanothus/Snow Brush) and 8 (Douglas Fir and White Pine).
32: Today's observed fire behavior (leave blank for non-fire events):
Creeping and smoldering. IR detected scattered and isolated heat sources west of Ukonom Lake within the wilderness boundary. Some isolated heat sources north of Ukonom Creek, south of the Ukonom portion of the fire perimeter and in the northern reaches of Gates Creek. Area appears to have cooled quite a bit since the 8/23/2008 flight.

Expect achievement of containment strategy for the non-wilderness portion of the fire 8/28. Will continue to monitor and confine the fire within the Marble Mountain Wilderness.
